Article 1 – Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all contractual relations between Le Manoir de la Vieille Douve and any person making a booking for accommodation or related services (guest rooms, holiday cottages, event rental, wellness activities, etc.).
Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which prevail over any other document issued by the client.

Article 2 – Booking

The client acknowledges having read and understood the nature, purpose and booking conditions of the services offered before confirming any reservation.
A booking becomes firm and final once:

a deposit of 30% of the total amount has been received, and

a written confirmation has been sent by the establishment (by email or letter).
If the deposit is not received within 7 days, the booking will be considered cancelled.
Bookings are personal and non-transferable, even free of charge.

Article 3 – Prices

Prices are expressed in euros, including all applicable taxes (TTC).
They include only the services specified in the booking confirmation.
Tourist taxes, optional extras and additional services (meals, activities, etc.) must be paid on site.
Any change in taxes or VAT rates will automatically be reflected in the final price.
The applicable rates are those in effect on the date of the confirmed booking.

Article 4 – Payment

The remaining balance of the stay must be paid:

30 days before arrival for groups, weddings or events, or

upon arrival for standard stays.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card, cheque, or cash (within the legal limit).
In case of non-payment, the establishment reserves the right to cancel the booking without compensation.

Article 5 – Security Deposit

A security deposit of €500 is required upon arrival, payable by cheque or bank transfer, to cover any damage or missing items.
It will be refunded after the final inspection, minus any repair or replacement costs if applicable.
In case of damage, all related costs may be deducted from the deposit.

Article 6 – Cancellation Policy
6.1 – Cancellation by the Client

Any cancellation must be notified in writing.
The following conditions apply:

More than 30 days before arrival: refund of the deposit minus a €20 administration fee.

Between 30 and 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount is due.

Less than 15 days before arrival or no-show: 100% of the total amount is due.
Bookings made at a non-refundable rate will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

6.2 – Cancellation by the Establishment

If the establishment is unable to honour a booking (force majeure, disaster, etc.), it will offer equivalent accommodation or a full refund of all amounts paid.

Article 7 – Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: from 5:00 p.m.

Check-out: by 10:00 a.m.
Any late departure without prior agreement may result in an additional charge.
Early or late arrivals must be arranged in advance with the management.

Article 8 – Use of the Premises

Guests agree to occupy the premises peacefully and to comply with the internal regulations displayed in the establishment.
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.
Pets are accepted only with prior approval from the management.
The guest must maintain the accommodation in good condition and return it clean at the end of the stay.
Any damage, loss, or theft will be charged to the guest.
Subletting, assignment or lending of the premises is strictly prohibited.
The establishment declines all responsibility in case of theft, damage or malfunction beyond its control.

Article 9 – Facilities and Equipment
Swimming Pool

The pool is strictly reserved for guests staying on the premises.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Use of the pool is under the full responsibility of the guests.
Glass containers are strictly prohibited in and around the pool area.

Ponds, River and Water Areas

Swimming or fishing is allowed only at the guest's own risk and under adult supervision for children.
The management accepts no responsibility for any accident or drowning.

Parks, Woods and Outdoor Areas

Access to walking paths and natural areas is permitted under the sole responsibility of guests, who must respect nature and on-site facilities.

Sports and Leisure Facilities

Use of equipment (gym, jacuzzi, billiard table, pétanque area, etc.) is under the exclusive responsibility of users.
Children may only use these facilities under adult supervision.

Article 10 – Liability and Insurance

Each guest must hold personal liability insurance covering any damage that may occur during their stay.
The establishment accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or deterioration of personal belongings.
In case of non-compliance with safety rules or internal regulations, the management reserves the right to terminate the stay without refund.

Article 11 – Personal Data

Personal data collected during the booking process are used solely for the management of reservations and stays.
In accordance with the GDPR, guests have the right to access, correct or delete their personal data upon written request.
No data will be shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Article 12 – Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform its obligations due to an event of force majeure (natural disaster, fire, epidemic, government decision, etc.).
Such events suspend the performance of the contract without compensation.

Article 13 – Complaints

Any complaint relating to the execution of services must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the end of the stay.
After this period, no claim will be accepted.

Article 14 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, exclusive jurisdiction shall be given to the Court of Angers (France).

Article 15 – Acceptance

The confirmation of a booking at Le Manoir de la Vieille Douve constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
